SOUV, the latest and newest restaurant of Chef Robby Goco, opens for the public (soft-opening) tomorrow, July 5.
SOUV aims to make Greek cuisine (also known as the Mediterranean cuisine) more familiar with the young Filipinos. It will feature more modern dishes, easy-to-drink wines and yoghurt desserts. Chef Robby says “All the dishes that we will serve, are exactly the same as, those being served and eaten in Greece. Just recently, on my last trip to Greece, I even brought back with me serving platters and condiments to make the dining experience of our customers more authentic.”
As I am a firm believer of tasting is believing (and frankly, who would turn down a dinner invite to preview Chef Robby’s dishes?) , Adolf and I trooped to SOUV last night to get our first look on the inside of the restaurant (interior design is simple, with clean-lines and easy on the eyes structure) and the first dibs on the food, of course! Here are some of the dishes we ate
Needless to say, we had an enjoyable meal. The dishes we tasted were flavorful (love the cheese saganaki), the beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the Greek Tuna Roe pasta is now added to my list of comfort food! I also enjoyed the Vineyard Lemonade. The white wine version of the Vineyard Lemonade reminds me of a garden party on a gorgeous spring day. It was perfect!
Make SOUV your next food trip destination. Cheers!
SOUV is located at Net Park, BGC
