From Palette to Palate at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila :
Chefs, I realized, can come from all walks of life. The call of the kitchen and creating something beautiful and delicious at the same time, proved to be a strong siren call for some former bankers, lawyers and even accountants. But I believe that most chefs are artists…putting out a masterpiece in each plate they serve. So, I am so excited to support, Chef Ramon Antonio, an exemplary visual artist (whose food sketches is enough to make one feel very hungry!). He will be the guest chef at Cucina in Marco Polo Ortigas Manila as it celebrates its Filipino week from August 22 – 30, 2017.
Coming from different continents to gain his world-class experience, Chef Ramon, has been a sought-after chef and artist with his contemporary take on Filipino cuisine. His experience ranges from cooking for royalties, heads of states, and international celebrities, to heading Michelin-starred restaurants and other hotels worldwide. He is known to sketch his plating, and transforming this masterpiece to life with the dishes he prepares. His stay in El Nido more than 10 years ago has opened his eyes to sustainability, and further kindled his love for the local cuisine. Since then, he has crafted his skills in the Filipino cuisine, using fresh local produce, bringing it up to the global scene.
Chef Ramon will be serving his favorite contemporary Filipino dishes such as Kalderetang Karnero, Sugpo sa Aligue, Filipino-favorite Cochinillo, and Napoleones sa Pandan at Cucina’s lunch and dinner buffet from August 22-31, 2017.
On August 26, learn how to whip up some of his special dishes in an engaging cooking demo, at Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge, at 10AM, for Php 1,500, inclusive of lunch buffet.
