There is one pizza and pasta chain that has been working so hard this year. They started the year with the launch of almost an entirely new menu – new pizza and pasta dishes as well as rice meals (yes, Filipinos love rice); then they held their Pizza War competition to encourage and challenge their own pizza chefs to come up with fresh combinations and now, they are at it again, declaring August 15 and 16 as their National Pizza Days!
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) has been one of my favorite pizza chains. Their culinary team is relentless in dishing out innovative and adventurous California style pizza – combining sunshine, the hip vibe and creative flavor toss-ups. It is really cool for them to declare their own National Pizza Days (and by the way, it is now on its 6th year!).
So what will happen on August 15 and 16? On these days, guests who visit any of CPK’s six (6) locations in Metro Manila can avail of their BUY 1, GET 1 Free Pizza Promotion. The guests can choose any one of the five (5) New and Exclusive Premium pizza flavors.
Ham + Mango Cucumber Pizza : Smoked ham with mango puree and house-made mango cucumber salsas, mozzarella and fresh arugula leaves
Pizza Italiano : Rustic pepperoni, ham, bell peppers, fresh tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella cheese and Italian herbs and spices on a bed of pomodoro sauce
Cheese Triplets Pizza : a unique combination of mozzarella, velveeta and quezo quesadilla cheeses
Asparagus + Chicken in Spinach Artichoke Sauce : Lovers of the spinach and artichoke dip will delight in this combination of spinach artichoke sauce with mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken and asparagus spears, sprinkled with chopped parsley and croutons for an extra crunch
Primavera Delight Pizza : Roasted Squash puree, mozzarella and quezo quesadilla cheeses, grilled zucchini, red onion, broccoli, button mushrooms, carrot strips and fresh tomatoes topped with parmesan cheese.
As an added treat, the Grand Prize winner of their Pizza Wars 2017 competition, will be available starting August 15. The winning pizza is the Garlic Cream Cheese & Sausage Pizza – garlic cream sauce, smoked sausage, mozzarella, fontina & parmesan cheeses with fresh mushrooms drizzled with balsamic glaze.
